Sharbaugh writes with insight, humor, and clarity about how greedy execs use algorithms to exploit users, artists, journalists and all consumers of culture (and culture itself) for profit. At a time when society most needs the civilizing balm of culture, his diagnosis/prescription is most appreciated. Thanks.

Myself and a few others are working on a vision to what an alternative version of this so called 'attention economy' could look like. Just as we did with privacy, it's not time to Respect Our Attention. We're looking for those early adopters who share this vision and are interested in helping shape it before making it public.
